This week you are going to read Mox Jogs and Hop, Bend, Stomp and do some activities with those books. Please look at the plan below and try to send me a video or picture of your child completing the highlighted tasks. Enjoy your week and Happy Easter!
Week 3
Weekly Introduction with Mox
Watch Mox and Mrs. Ferrie as she reviews the digraph "th", introduces the Starfall books of the week and plays our word family game with the -og family. Use your 'whiteboard' (white piece of cardstock in the page protector) and follow along or create your own.
- Try making some words for the -op word family too!
Number Sense (Flip and Smack)
Put the blue subitizing circles in an upside-down pile. Lay out the number cards 1-5 face up on the table. Flip over a circle, say how many dots (try not to count) then slap the number card that matches the amount. See how fast you can go!
Add 1 Game
Grab a game board that you have at your home (Candyland, Snakes and Ladders, etc) and one dice. Roll the dice, but instead of saying the number that the dice shows, say the number that is one more than the dice and then move that many spaces.

Patterns
Find two different groups of objects (try to avoid just doing two different colours). Use them to make these patterns:
- aab
- abab
- aabb
- abbb
Take a video of you labeling your patterns and send it to me.
Handwriting Heroes - Bouncers
Watch the video about the Handwriting Writing Heroes bouncers and then print each bouncer letter 4 times on your Spell It/Write It mat.
Learn About Foxes (Optional)
Have fun learning about foxes this week. Go to Learn Alberta Resources and go to the Life Science website and search for Foxes. Use the listen button to listen and learn about foxes.
After you can download the sheet below to write about what you learned and draw a fox in the box. Here is a website that teaches you "How to Draw a Fox"
